Amazon Studios, which launched in 2010 as a new way to develop feature films and episodic series that are available for viewing on Amazon Prime Instant Video, is excited to debut its first original series for preschool-aged children, Tumble Leaf! It made its debut on Friday, May 23rd, each episode of Tumble Leaf follows Fig, a blue fox who lives in a shipwrecked schooner ship by the sea and his best friend “Stick,” a caterpillar who lives in a tiny basket strapped to Fig’s forearm, as they discover adventure, friendship, and love around every bend. At the start of each day, Fig and Stick are eager to play and discover new things about his world, with his eyes, ears, mind and heart open to inspiration. By playing with an object that he finds in his “finding place” in each episode, he learns about science, critical thinking and the world around him.
Tumble Leaf, like all of Amazon’s children’s programs, is designed to develop creative thinking in children through play. Children often learn life’s most valuable lessons from the television series they watch. From learning to count, to understanding the importance of friendship, these teachings prove crucial as children develop into young adults. With the release of this new series, Amazon Studios aims to inspire lifelong learners and provide skills key to personal and professional satisfaction as children grow up.
As you can see from the photos below, my 18 month old son and his 21 month old friend both LOVED Tumble Leaf. I also had my 2.5 year old foster daughter watch it, and she seemed to enjoy it too [I can't share photos of her online, hence the lack of picture]. You couldn't have gotten their attention while watching this, even if you wanted to. The episodes teach things like shapes, reflection, shadows and much more. It's more than your "typical" toddler show that teaches letters/colors/numbers. I really loved the quality of the animation and the quality content. If I were an Amazon Prime member, I'd let my son watch this. I have already told quite a few parents I know about this show and recommended it for their kids. It's wholesome, educational, and really well done!

I've never heard of Tumble Lead, but the animation quality looks incredibly crisp and clear.
