Home Renovation/Reorganization Series - Moen Curved Shower Rod

Moen Curved Shower Rod

I had heard from our contractor and from other home owners that we HAD to get a curved shower rod, but I'll admit I was skeptical. I really couldn't see how a curved shower rod would make much of a difference but thanks for Peter from Zigmarketing and Moen I had a chance to try one (see below).

Here is some information on the curved shower rod:
  • Old World Bronze finish
  • Adjusts to fit showers between 54 and 72 inches
    No cutting required
  • Flange pivots 180 degrees
  • Superior strength - weight load capacity of more than 120 pounds (based on independent lab testing)
  • Provides up to 7.5 additional inches of elbow room in the shower
  • Stainless steel construction
  • Rivoting flanges provide an easy, secure installation on inconsistent or uneven wall surfaces
  • Decorative covers snap on easily to conceal pivoting flanges and hide holes from previous shower rods
  • Works with standard shower curtains
After trying out the curved showed rod my husband and I are both huge fans. When it says in the description that it gives you up to 7.5 additional inches of elbow room in the shower, it isn't lying. In our old apartment I was always knocking over the shampoo bottles on the side ledge with my elbows, but with this curved shower rod my elbows never touch the side wall or the shower curtain. It's great! I also really love the Old World Bronze finish. For this bathroom remodel we decided to go with the brushed bronze to make it look more formal, and the curved shower rod is a perfect match, but it is also available in bronze for those readers who may be interested.
