Home Renovation/Reorganization Series - Miller Curtain Outlet

I never realized how much goes into a home renovation and all the hidden costs that you don't think about upfront, like buying window treatments. Now I see why they say that home purchases stimulate the economy. We must have made over 20 trips to Home Depot/Lowes/Walmart etc buying things that never crossed our mind, but we found are very necessary.

We thought about cleaning the window sills, repainting the molding around the windows to make it fresh looking, replacing the actual windows to make sure they are well sealed for the winter, but we forgot about window treatments, and are now scrambling to find shades/blinds for our windows. Thankfully Susan from Miller Curtain agreed to partner with my blog to help this home renovation come to light.

Here's some information about this great curtain company (and outlet store if you are ever near San Antonio, TX) from their website:
Our purpose at Miller Curtain Company is to provide high quality, creatively styled products and outstanding service at competitive prices. We respond quickly to our customers needs and strive to exceed their expectations while using the highest principles of ethical conduct and moral integrity. We strive to be innovative in styling and product design while remaining competitive in the marketplace with our affordable pricing. In an effort to stay one step ahead of our competitors, we continue to invest in the latest technological advances for our Research and Development facilities to promote precision workmanship and manufacturing efficiency.

Our philosophy is to promote a work environment where our managers have broad decision making authority – thus achieving timely results. This purpose is paramount to our structure and must guide every decision made that affects our customers, employees and trading partners. Our efforts have proven successful, as we are one of the leading suppliers of soft home furnishings in the United States.

I had the opportunity to review a Bristol Balloon Shade (store photo pictured above on left). I had seen them in catalogs before and been intrigued by the soft look, versus vinyl blinds or window shades. It's made of a poly/cotton blend and is available in a handful of colors; I chose ivory. When it first arrived it was neatly packaged in a plastic protector and when I took it out I was thinking 'how on earth will this end up looking like the photo,' but it was really simple. We hung it on the rod, and it has little plastic rings that you join together to get the curved look on the bottom of the shade. I absolutely love it, and the instructions are very simple to follow. (Mine pictured above on right)

Their customer service has been so pleasant to work with, and the instructions are so straight forward anyone can put up Miller Curtains. Another great feature is that you can buy them online, or for those of you that prefer to shop in person, their curtains and products are available at the stores listed below:

Head on over to their website, or to one of these stores to get a Miller Curtain (or a few) for yourself!
