Stila Cosmetics

Inspired by the Stila makeup used behind-the-scenes on the hit show, Dancing with the Stars, the brand introduces its newest collaboration, the Stila + Dancing with the Stars Collection! This Limited Edition assortment features four Live. Love. Dance. sets inspired by the Samba, Tango, Freestyle and Cha-Cha, retailing for $39 each. Additionally, products needed to create complete looks, including Illuminating Powder, Bronzing Powder, Powder Blush and an exclusive Dancing with the Stars makeup bag and mirror, retail for $16 - $20 each.

The Stila + Dancing with the Stars Collection will be sold exclusively at ULTA Beauty stores nationwide and at www.ulta.com beginning September 1st. 

I recently had a chance to try out some Stila products and I would have to say my two favorite products were the Stay All Day Foundation & Concealer and the Color Balm Lipstick in Ruby. 

 First of all the Stay All Day Foundation & Concealer by Stila is an oil-free, high definition, high performance foundation that "stays all day" and delivers a flawless finish. What I loved about this is not only does it include brush and foundation but also concealer and mirror in one. On top of this, the color is spot on. So many foundations have an orange or brown undertone but this one seemed to be a yellow base, which matched my skin perfectly. I'm fair, so I don't want to look orange or brown, I want to look natural, and this product did just that. 

 The second product (color balm lipstick) is a modern take on traditional lipstick, this creamy lip color by Stila provides the full pigment load of a lipstick, yet delivers the nourishing properties of a balm. You hear fashion columnists or celebrity fashion commentators talk about finding the "perfect red lipstick", and I think this is it. I feel it had the right combination of blue hues to make it look deep and not clown-like. It also didn't have any strange perfumy tastes, which many lip products tend to have.

 All in all, I was very impressed with Stila cosmetics and would definitely recommend them!
