Autotrader

If you have ever been in a situation where your trusty car has died and you desperately need a new one, and fast, then you will appreciate this post.

There are many place to search for used cars or to find out the used prices of cars such as Kelly Blue Book, craigslist and other site that give you an idea of what similar cars are selling for. Another option is autotrader, there is a US and a UK site that is helpful for pricing cars and also searching for available cars.

Car prices range quite a bit from a few hundred to a hundred thousand dollars so it's a great idea to do your research ahead of time. Find out what the type of car you are looking for is selling for. Find out if there are certain areas where the prices seem to be lower, as selling price can vary by location (such as NYC versus a rural area). Keep in mind that the age and mileage will greatly affect the asking price, as will the condition of the car, so no two situations will be exactly the same, but it still helps to compare similar vehicles to get an idea of a good offering price.

You may be looking for a 2nd hand used renault megane, or Ferrari...whatever the car, it is always best to do your research before purchasing.
