Covergirl Makeover Experience

I believe in being completely transparent with my readers and the companies that I work with so to the left you'll find a photo of me, without make up, without lotion and without any touch-ups. It isn't pretty, I know, but it's the canvas I start with. lol.

Thankfully Covergirl sent me some of their products to try out, and I started with the Naturelux Silk Foundation in Alabaster. This is the smoothest, creamiest foundation I have ever used. It feels like you are spreading silk onto your skin. I am a big fan of this product. After applying the foundation to my face, I was starting to see improvements (see photo on the right). It evened out my skin tone, and felt light and weightless.

Next I decided to move on to the eyes. I had a chance to try Covergirl's Exact Eyelights Eye-Brightening Eyeshadows for blue eyes - which is a combination of teels, blues and greens and a lighter shimmer for accents. I decided to do the more formal look on my right eye and a day-time look on my left eye (below). The day-time look consisted of a pale shimmery green across the lid and a medium shade teel in the crease. The night time look had teel on the lid and dark blue alond the lash line and in the crease.

After finishing with the shadow, I used the Line Exact Liquid Eyeliner in Gray to line my eyes, both top and bottom. To complete the eyes I used some mascara (not covergirl).

Now, no beauty look is complete without some color on the lips, so I tried the Covergirl Lip Stain, and really liked this product. It gives your lips natural looking color without the shine, shimmer, gloss or stickiness that other products have. It has a sweet taste, which I think my dog kept trying to lick, haha, but I definitely plan to buy more colors of this lipstain. So after foundation, shadow, liner, mascara and lip stain, the look is complete...

It's amazing the difference a few products can make!

Many thanks to Covergirl for this makeover experience :)

  1. I've really been wanting to try their Smokey Eye kit, but haven't gotten around to buying it. But wow, you look beautiful. Great job, and it is amazing how a few products transform your look! I have ruddy skin and a little foundation and eye and lip really makes a difference!
