Romance/Getaway Series - The Inn at Bowman's Hill

The mission of Bowman's Hill:

"OUR MISSION IS TO FACILITATE A TOTAL GUEST EXPERIENCE THAT EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS FROM THE TIME OF BOOKING TO THE TIME OF YOUR DEPARTURE"

...and they do just that!

The Inn at Bowman's Hill is the perfect pairing of country charm with modern amenities and ultimate luxury, surrounded by peace and quiet (no children allowed). From the moment you drive up, it is obvious that this is not a run-of-the-mill B&B, with its security gate entrance and stone driveway.  Upon pulling up we were instantly greeted by one of the innkeepers, Tim, who offered to check us in and show us around the property. It was as if he was waiting just for us. Once inside the beautiful building you are able to admire the exposed wood and cozy feel of the dining area and attached sun room. The innkeeper offered us beverages and asked if there was anything else we needed for our visit - dinner reservations, area attractions etc. You can't find this type of service at chain hotels, trust me, I know.

Our room, the fountain view room, was absolutely lovely with its light blue walls and its gorgeous bathroom equipped with a fully-tiled shower, which I am a big fan of, and 2-person heated whirlpool tub. Not only did we have a fully equipped room with a TV, DVD player, tea and teapot but we also had our own personal fridge which came stocked with champagne, cheese and crackers, water bottles, and snacks in our room. In addition to our room, we had a chance to tour the newly-renovated Regal Tower Suite (photos coming soon), and it was very impressive. The owner, Mike, had just finished the renovations minutes before allowing us to preview this. The Regal Tower suite consists of two floors, two bedrooms, a living area and all the luxurious features you would want, including a 2-person heated whirlpool tub, flat screen TV by the tub and beautifully-tiled floor and walls.

So I've already convinced you that this is a safe, luxurious place to visit, but what about the food and other things this Inn has to offer? I'll start with the food. Every morning guests have the option to eat in the dining room at private tables for 2 or 4 or have breakfast delivered to their room. I must say that every meal I had there was delicious and I loved the options they provided. Every morning guests have 3 or more choices for breakfast, and one always includes an egg dish, as they raise free range chickens on their property and fresh eggs are collected daily. Guests may even collect their own eggs if they would like. Feeding the chickens is also allowed, as you can see below:

In addition to breakfast being provided, they also put out soup or sandwiches in the afternoon (along with freshly baked goodies) in case guests want to relax by the pool and need something to hold them over until dinner. This was a wonderful feature when we wanted to relax and take our time, yet not leave the property.

And since this is part of a Romance/Getaway series I wanted to highlight some other options at this Inn: In-room massages are available upon request, which sound lovely.  With such a beautiful romantic location it's the perfect spot for a small wedding of no more than 12 to 15 people. It's also a perfect location for a honeymoon or to celebrate an anniversary.

Area Attractions:
* Winery tours - a bus will pick you up at the Inn and take you to the winery for a tour, so you don't need to worry about directions or driving, and can enjoy yourself
* Hot air balloon rides available nearby
* Fonthill (pictured below) - an old estate made of concrete filled with tiles and mosaics from floor to ceiling. We loved this, so I would highly recommend this
* Shopping - the towns of New Hope/Lambertville is full of shops, boutiques, galleries and eateries to explore

...if you need more suggestions the Innkeepers are full of ideas and more than happy to help you plan your day

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this Inn or its charming and affable innkeepers.
