Rebecca St James - I Will Praise You
Thoughts from my husband:
Rebecca's new worship album, I Will Praise You, has an upbeat feel to it. Living in the 21st century, many Christian artists have succumb to watering down the message or creating albums that are so rocky that I have a hard time determining the genre of music. I really enjoy when artists, such as Rebecca, introduce worship albums that truly reflect God's word and help me to feel the presence of the Lord. My favorite song on this album is "Shine Your Glory Down." I don't want to spoil it by tapping into the lyrics, but just know that this song is powerful. I guess you'll have to discover that for yourself. I have grown up listening to Rebecca's albums, reading her books and listening to her speak on the topic of sexual purity. I am amazed at her strength and her ability to remain so transparent with her fans. Personally, she played a role in encouraging my faith and challenging me to live a life of purity before I met my wife (our 3-year anniversary is this month :). Great job on this album. I have no doubt that many will be blessed.
