Fatal Judgment - Blog Book Tour

About this Novel:
In Fatal Judgment, U.S. Marshal Jake Taylor has seen plenty of action during his years in law enforcement. But he'd rather go back to Iraq than face his next assignment: protection detail for federal judge Liz Michaels. His feelings toward the coldhearted workaholic haven't warmed in the five years since she drove her husband--and Jake's best friend--to despair . . . and possible suicide.

As the danger mounts and Jake gets to know Liz better, he's forced to revise his opinion of her. And when it becomes clear that an unknown enemy may want her dead, the stakes are raised. Because now both her life--and his heart--are in danger.

Full of suspense and romance, Fatal Judgment is a thrilling story that will keep you turning the pages late into the night.

My thoughts:
This is not the normal genre that I would go for. I tend to be drawn more toward the lighter Christian fiction novels like historical fiction or romantic fiction, but this was a nice change to my "normal" book selections. My husband has recently gotten me into shows like C.S.I. and Rookie Blue and other crime and justice type shows, so now, naturally, I'm hooked, so I loved the sound of this novel. It's the best of both worlds. It has the suspense and intrigue of the shows that I watch, mixed in with a bit of the lighter romance that I am usually drawn to in novels. If you enjoy either of these genres (action/adventure or romantic fiction) I would suggest this book!

  2. I've been reading a lot of CSI type books the last few years. The AZ shooting gives me pause that it might be a little raw to read a fictional account of providing security for a federal judge.
Thanks for the review; it's neat that the author posted in your thread!
