While up in the Allentown, PA area, reviewing the Glasbern Inn a few weeks ago, I had the chance to visit Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, and of course, I chose the hottest day of the summer to do so. It was 105 degrees when I was there, so as you probably guessed, I spent most of my time at the Waterpark side. As expected when you visit on a Saturday, in the 100+ temperature you will have to wait in lines, but they go by quickly, so I didn't mind.

I would have to say my favorite part of the day was the Aquablast - One of the longest elevated water slides in the world, Aquablast stands 70 feet tall. Gigantic multi-person rafts wind and twist through steep banks and curves before splashing into the pool below. Give me a waterslide, long tube that empties into a large body of water and I'm a happy camper!

Wow, I don't think I would have the guts to go on that first ride, lol. Maybe when I was younger but now I'm sort of getting a fear of heights. Sounds like an amazing place to visit.
ReplyDeleteWOW, I wish we had a close by to take the family too! The Aquablast looks like a blast!
