Garden Series - Gardener's Supply Co.

Gardener's Supply was founded in 1983 by a handful of enthusiastic Vermont gardeners. Today, we serve millions of gardeners nationwide, offering everything from seedstarting supplies and garden furniture to flower supports and garden carts. Though our company has grown, we remain passionately committed to providing garden-tested, earth-friendly products that will help our customers have more fun and success in their gardens.

Gardener's Supply is proud to be employee-owned. We are gardeners ourselves and have earned our customers' trust by providing high-quality products, expert information and friendly, personalized service.

We understand the products that we sell because we use them in our own gardens. Regular product training sessions and a gardening certification program for our staff help us to provide the best service and support in the business.

At our headquarters in Burlington, Vermont, you can check out our store and stroll through our 3-acre display gardens. We also offer local seminars and special events throughout the year.

Spring is here and the garden is screaming for some TLC. In an effort to spruce up our yard, we decided to start cultivating the ground and get everything ready for the upcoming planting season. We picked up a cheap garden tool at a local store and after using it for 15 minutes, the handle broke. There my husband was in the garden all ready to get dirty and he found himself in disbelief and completely frustrated. Now, let’s fast forward. Gardener’s Supply Company sends us several products to review and ALL of their products actually remain intact. There he was in the garden all ready to get dirty, and he in fact did. Although his back was a bit sore, he was still able to smile because he was actually able to make our pile of dirt into something attractive.

From start to finish, all of their products worked seamlessly. Gardener’s Supply Company was very generous and sent us a plethora of products to review like the tools pictured above and this great weedblock paper, which will hopefully save us from weeding for days on end in the future. We were amazed how quickly the order was sent out and the way they creatively packaged everything. In addition, we ordered raspberry bushes that came packaged with the roots still moist and ready to be planted. The raspberry bushes have been planted, now I have to be patient for them to bear fruit. This company has so much to offer and their website is very user friendly, with helpful hints and customer reviews. We are huge fans of the hydro-mats. Each individual mat holds a full quart of water, wicking it up almost instantly and then releasing it slowly, so you water weekly instead of daily. I do not know about everyone else, but the last thing I want to do is worry about watering the garden every day. Gardener’s Supply Company has highly impressed us.

Be sure to check out their website and I guarantee you, you will also be impressed. It is the one stop shop for the gardener. Now if they could only produce a raspberry bush that produces fruit on command…I really need to work on being patient.
