Astrion & Verbasnol

Nature Restore’s principles center around Integrity, Quality, Source. Each  and every plant and mushroom extracts in our formulations are supported by published scientific studies. Dosages conform with what is stated in the supplement facts. Third party labs verify that our supplements pass California prop 65 requirements and each batch also goes through additional pesticide and micro-biology testing. We use USDA Organic extracts when sourceable and each ingredient can be traced to its original source.

Astrion: Overnight Restorative Cream
Astrion is a natural skin rejuvenating and hydrating ingredient that promotes the skin cell’s own ability to synthesize collagen and hyaluronic acid. Astrion protects damaged skin, minimizes wrinkles, restores moisture, and helps your skin function at a healthy level.

Astrion enhances great skin at both ends: through promotion of new, healthy, rejuvenated skin while slowing down the normal aging process. Specifically, Astrion increases proline uptake by 27%, which in turn promotes skin healing, increases suppleness and collagen synthesis.

Collagen is a major constituent of the skin and your body’s collagen production decreases roughly 1% every year. Astrion helps combat collagen deficiency by increasing the synthesis of collagen I and III.

Verbasnol:Face Clarifying Cream
Commonly known as verbascoside and acteoside, Verbasnol is a powerful, multi-purpose antioxidant most popularly found in olives and the rehmannia plant species. Recent studies has revealed that
verbascoside is highly effective in humans as a cellular and skin protectant.

Pre-clinicals demonstrate that it has anti-acne, inflammation and skin lightening benefits. Verbasnol also directly inhibits the enzyme 5-alpha reductase. Verbasnol is one of the few antioxidants that thrives in an acidic environment, ensuring passage and proper absorption through the gastrointestinal tract.

My Thoughts:
I have a good amount of red scarring from acne on my temples and around my nose from years of battling acne [yes, even now in my 30's]. I was hopeful that the Verbasnol that I used daily, would reduce the red marks, but sadly it did not. I feel like it helped reduce the amount of acne on my face currently, but it didn't clear any of the previously existing marks.

I also used the Astrion every night before bed for a month. My skin felt healthier but I had a hard time seeing a difference. Unless my scars get lighter or my wrinkles go away it's hard to notice gradual changes, but since my skin felt healthier after a month's use, I suspect the changes would be evident after a longer use.

If you want a natural face option, these products are a good place to start.
