Formal Dresses

I remember the days of proms and formals fondly. When you're in high school you live for events like these. While I wasn't super close to people at my high school I had a strong group of friends from church that I loved attending these functions with. I know that I always liked the chance to get my hair and nails done and find a dress to make me feel like a princess for the night. Normally I was a simple person, jeans and t-shirts, nothing fussy, but on dance nights, I went all out.

Although the fashions have certainly changed since I was in high school, I don't think that desire to look amazing has changed. My mom and I would go to at least a dozen stores before we found a prom dress that we both liked. Of course it had to be conservative enough to please my mom, and bold enough (in color) to meet with my approval. I loved the bold reds and blues.

Back when I was in school the fashion was a-line dresses with spaghetti straps in solid colors. Now a days anything goes. The dresses with cutouts and floral prints seem to be all the rage, but then there are stunning elegant dresses.

I realize I sound like an 80 year old woman now, but I'm only 30, but I can already see how the fashions are moving with the time. Sometimes more skin doesn't mean sexier. I've seen lace covered sleeved dresses that are so much more sexy than a mini dress with a small amount of fabric.

So if you are in the market for discount prom dresses check out JenJenHouseIt's is an online site selling wedding dresses, prom dresses, homecoming dresses, holiday dresses, etc. They have a wide variety of dresses in all shapes, colors, lengths and patterns. I think there's something for everyone!
