Jack Creek Steakhouse and Catina

Opened in 1994, Jack Creek Steakhouse and Cantina® is a casual dining restaurant in Allentown PA, offering eclectic south of the border Tex-Mex cuisine and specializing in mesquite steaks flame broiled to perfection!


Jack Creek Steakhouse and Cantina® is inspired by great South of the Border foods. Their food is sourced from top quality seasonal ingredients, featuring a high percentage of local products. They butcher all of their meats on a daily basis, and also strive to support other local producers when purchasing wine, cheese, honey, ice cream and many other ingredients.
Their Seasonal Menu changes every 3-4 months offering a unique change of pace from their usual fare offering both new and signature dishes.

My Thoughts:

This is a family-friendly location with a fun atmosphere and reasonable prices. Some of the positive aspects of this restaurant is that it has a wide variety of options available to customers at reasonable prices and they get many of their products from local sources. One of the things I was not impressed with were the bugs flying around our table. We were constantly shooing away small bugs from our food, which made it hard to enjoy our menu. To counter this negative with a positive, their portions were very large, and we left quite full. After our meals, we ordered a slice of their peanut butter pie, which was very tasty indeed.
