My husband is the organized one in our family, and I tend to have the mindset that there are more important things in life than having a clean and tidy home...which is why we are a good match. If we were both laid back in this area our home would be a disaster area. "Organization, a 12-letter word that describes my life. Since I can remember I have always been an organized individual, and some would say I am on the verge of having Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). My rebuttal is that people all around me benefit from my organizational skills, and I am the one that spends the time to keep things organized, to the point of thriving on it. Well, I must admit that although our kitchen is organized, the junk drawer makes my skin crawl. I love the idea of sticking misc. items in the junk drawer, but when I go to find something I end up taking everything out in order to find that one thing that is all the way in the back, covered with junk. It's all about spending less time searching and more time doing the things you want to do."
