It is so important in any relationship to know the other person's love languages, but to also know what words cut deeply, and what words help heal those wounds. Everyone gives and receives love differently. My husband receives love by being served, whereas I couldn't care less about service and I look for words of affirmation to know he loves me. You would think that since words of affirmation is my love language I also give them freely, but I do not, which is why this book was so helpful to read!
