I tried out was the biscuit mix. You can use this mix in hundreds of applications that complement any meal, side dish or dessert. Make traditional biscuits and gravy, savory casserole toppings, dumplings, fried chicken, scones or shortcake. Sadly, neither my husband or I were a fan of. We used this mix to make traditional biscuits to go with a chicken and gravy dinner. They were completely devoid of flavor. It was like eating baked flour, in my opinion. If had to make them over again, I would have added in some chives, bacon bits and cheddar cheese to spice them up. I tried to eat them with butter and strawberry jam, but still that didn't cut it. I was disappointed, as I love biscuits.
They also have a muffin and cake mix. You can use this to make any style or flavor of muffin by simply adding your favorite mix-ins. Or, for a decadent, moist, home-style cake, simply add a few eggs. It's a great base to make any kind of muffin or cake you want! I love adding fresh chopped fruit when it's in season to make fruity muffins, but chocolate chips or cinnamon chips are also great add-ins.
